3-Phase Track

Installation for acoustic panels

Overview of the assembly of

3-phase rail

The 3-phase rail is a technical rail system that can be used both for mounting acoustic panels and for integrating lighting. The rail carries multiple electrical phases and thus enables the combination of various functions within a single system.

Two types of installation are available for mounting the acoustic panels, which differ in how the rail is attached. Depending on the version, the rail is either pendant mounted via a hanging construction or directly attached to the ceiling. In both cases, the acoustic panels are mounted directly in the rail. The following sections describe the two installation types and the respective mounting steps in detail.

Current conduction in the track

The current conduction occurs directly in the track. Lighting and acoustic baffles can be mounted on the same track, eliminating the need for additional cables or current tracks.

ClearCeiling

Since both baffles and luminaires are guided over the same track, a tidy and clear ceiling situation is created without visible cables or additional guiding elements.

Ideal for individual applications

The 3-phase track is particularly suitable for situations where baffles are not interconnected or are to be mounted individually.

All-in-one system

Lights can be placed both between the baffles and directly within the baffle rows. This allows for an even light distribution and a harmonious overall appearance.

Alternative mounting with clamp rail system

For many applications, the clamp rail system is the more efficient mounting option. The fixed axle spacing allows for particularly quick and tidy installation. Additionally, a lower installation height than the 3-phase track is possible.

Differences in the assembly of the three variants

The 3-phase rail allows for different mounting types, which differ in the fastening of the rail and the positioning of the acoustic baffles. In the pendant mounting, the rail is attached via a pendulum construction to the ceiling, while the BAFFLES are mounted directly in the rail and form a continuous line guide.

In the ceiling surface-mounting, the rail is directly attached to the ceiling, resulting in a flat arrangement with minimal construction height.

Step by step
for quick and clean installation

1. Pendant mounting with direct baffle fastening

This type of mounting is especially suitable if the rail cannot be attached directly to the ceiling or if a greater distance to the ceiling is desired. The suspended rail creates clear lines in the room, while the acoustic baffles are mounted directly in the rail and do not require additional hangers. This option is often chosen when a uniform and quiet arrangement over larger surfaces is to be implemented.

Installation Steps:

  1. Marking the mounting points
The position of the rail and mounting elements is marked precisely according to the plan.

  2. Drill holes
All necessary drilling points are prepared.

  3. Install wire hangers
The wire hangers are attached to the ceiling.

  4. Attach rail to the wire hangers
The rail is placed onto the pre-assembled hangers.

  5. Level the rail
The exact height is adjusted to ensure a straight line guide.

  6. Snap the rail into the quick fasteners
The rail is securely snapped into the fasteners.

  7. Mount the rail hooks on the phase rail
The hooks are used to prepare the baffling holder.

  8. Align the rail hooks at the axis distance
The hooks are positioned at the correct distance from each other.

  9. Mount or hang baffling
The baffling are attached directly to the rail.

  10. Optional: Supply power to the rail and connect lighting
The lights can now be connected and put into operation.

2. Ceiling mounted assembly with direct baffle fixing

Ceiling mounted assembly is sensible when a compact solution with minimal construction is required. As the rail is fixed directly to the ceiling and the BAFFLES sit immediately in the rail, a flat and downward-reaching ceiling effect is created. This variant is especially suitable for rooms with limited ceiling height or for applications where the acoustic elements need to be positioned as close to the ceiling as possible.

Assembly steps:

  1. Marking the attachment points
The required points are marked according to the plan.
  2. Drill holes
    Attachment points are prepared.

  3. Mount ceiling bracket
The brackets are attached to the ceiling.

  4. Clip rail into the ceiling bracket
The rail is securely snapped into the holder.

  5. Mount slide hooks in the phase rail
The hooks are used for holding the baffles.

  6. Align for axis distance
The hooks are aligned at the correct distance from each other.

  7. Mount or hang baffle
The elements are mounted directly on the rail.

  8. Optional: feed power rail and connect lighting
The electrical supply can be connected.

Alternative Montage mit Klemmschienensystem

For many applications, the terminal strip system is the more efficient solution. The fixed axle distance allows for particularly fast and tidy assembly, and assembly inaccuracies can be easily compensated for. The terminal strip is ideally suited for large surfaces and connected acoustic panels, and enables simple integration of lighting or sensors between the elements. Thanks to the lower construction height, a particularly compact ceiling solution results.
