Neoom Free City
A forward-looking homebase for sustainability and modern office architecture
For the Free City project, high-quality lighting solutions in the form of a sustainable overall concept were considered from the initial planning to the realisation, which was developed in collaboration with interior designer Ben Elmecker. He is also responsible for the overarching, design concept of Free City. The building, with a total area of 6,000 m², was fully equipped with energy-efficient lighting from Molto Luce. Moreover, a desired “Industrial Look” runs throughout the building and is reflected accordingly in the lighting solution. Attention was also paid to perfect glare-free lighting to ensure the best visual comfort. DALI-dimmable lighting throughout the building allows for individual adjustment according to personal perception and throughout the day.
Acoustics play an important role in modern buildings today. Both in common areas and — especially — in offices, a successful solution can significantly improve the quality of stay by reducing unwanted noise. Austrian interior designer Ben Elmecker paid particular attention to the acoustic design of the rooms in his concept for Free City. In cooperation with Molto Luce, functional and visually appealing, simple acoustic elements made of thermally reinforced fleece material were developed, which were used with and without light inserts in the Free City project. The so-called ACOUSTIC-BAFFEL from Molto Luce are not only acoustic comforters but also light emitters and distinctive design elements.
